Proyecto de Conversión Profunda Refinería Puerto La Cruz

The project is designed to upgrade PPDVSA’s Puerto La Cruz refinery to deep conversion, a process that will increase the refinery’s gasoline output and enable it to process extra-heavy crude from Venezuela’s Orinoco oil belt. The refinery will be retooled to use PDVSA’s proprietary HDH Plus refining technology. The initiative aims to satisfy domestic demand and produce higher quality fuels that meet international air quality standards.
